Arsen Bekirov is a Crimean Tatar tenor, Honored Artist of Crimea and Tatarstan, soloist of the Crimean State Philharmonic (since 2002) and of the Qirim ensemble. He performs in six languages. Author of the Qirim EP (2025), QARADENIZ award winner, he recorded 31 songs with Grammy-winning producer Ian Brennan in 2026. Founder of a vocal school in Simferopol.

The Story

Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 10 May 1986, Arsen Bekirov grew up between Central Asian exile and Crimean Tatar musical heritage. After returning to Crimea, he joined the Crimean State Philharmonic in 2002 — the same year he began his tenure with the legendary folk ensemble Qirim. Over two decades, he has become one of the most recognizable voices of Crimean Tatar music, performing in six languages: Crimean Tatar, Russian, Ukrainian, English, Turkish, and Greek. In 2008 he was named Honored Artist of the Republic of Crimea, and in 2016 — Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan. His 2025 debut EP "Qirim" bridges centuries of Crimean Tatar melodic tradition with contemporary ethno-pop, and the "Seni Seven" music video earned the QARADENIZ Production award. In April 2026, in Istanbul, he recorded 31 songs with Grammy-winning producer Ian Brennan (Tinariwen, Zomba Prison Project) — a session that promises to bring Crimean Tatar music to a global audience. He is also the founder of the Arsen Bekirov Vocal School in Simferopol.
